Mackenzie Moeller

Hi! My name is Mackenzie Moeller.
I am a senior at Aurora University working towards completing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Fitness and Wellness Promotion. After four years of hard work, I will be graduating in May 2018!
When starting at Aurora University, I had no clue where I wanted to go with my education, let alone my career path. With an interest in film production and editing at the time, I decided to start taking communication courses, as it is often a broader major for this sort of field. But as time went on I was led on a different path.
As someone who has always been somewhat athletic over the years, (playing a variety of sports, but not being a professional by any means) I have always had an interest in fitness and living a generally healthy lifestyle. By my senior year of high school, I became more and more interested in working out and it became an extremely significant part of my lifestyle as I entered my first years of college. My personal interest in health and fitness led me to the realization that I wanted to change direction, yet again, and become an Exercise Science major as well. With enthusiasm towards my altered path, I then went on to become certified as a Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association in May 2017.
While my education and professional background has developed my knowledge and real life experience in the health and fitness industry, it has also shown me how I can use communication as a way to promote health, fitness, and wellness to those around me. Aside from my knowledge and skill sets on these topics, my love for each subject inspires me to encourage others to live their best life through adequate physical activity, proper nutrition, and a positive mindset.
Through this blog, I hope to incorporate both my skill sets in communication and my knowledge on health and fitness related topics to encourage readers to do just that. Developing a lifestyle that prioritizes being mindful of my own health by developing healthy lifestyle habits is something that has positively impacted my life in a multitude of ways, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. In all the ways that developing this lifestyle has impacted my life, I hope to impact someone else's by promoting and educating on topics related to these subjects.
With one life to live, it is important that we make it our best. I hope you follow along with me on this journey and are able to take something away from this blog whether it be new information or a positive lifestyle habit.
